Research Guides and Tutorials

The Library has many print research guides at the Reference DeskImage of books to help you with library research. Visit our Research Guides and Tutorials page to see some that we've made available online. You can also find a few online tutorials.

Research on the Run

View our schedule of workshops on library products such as Voyager and ProQuest. These orientations are drop-in on a first come, first served basis and are open to students and staff. Verification slips are given to confirm attendance. Orientations are held in LRC 301.

Class Orientations

Instructors can arrange library orientations for their classes. Library orientations typically include a tour of the library and instruction on the library catalog and research databases. Orientations can also be customized to meet the specific research needs of your students. To schedule an orientation for your class, contact the Reference Desk at 781-0566 (x2566).

We strongly encourage faculty members to attend orientation sessions with their classes. It has been our experience that students are more well-behaved and attentive when the instructor is present.
