Writing for Proficiency Module

The Writing for Proficiency Module is one option for students who received a grade of incomplete in English A because they did not pass the department final exam. These students may complete the Writing for Proficiency Module in the Writing Center and then retake the English A final.

The module consists of several essay assignments, as well as exercises on essay organization and writing mechanics. The Writing Center staff works with the students to identify their strengths and weaknesses and improve their essay writing skills. It usually takes several weeks to complete the module satisfactorily and be ready to succeed on the final exam.
